A friend of mine made a comment that "oh, you have black shoelaces", and I didn't know what she meant by that. Anyone heard of black or white shoelaces signifying something ?

Serious answers only. Thank You.

of course it does!!

skinheads used and still do wear white laces on black leather boots.
skins are divided either as right wing or left wing. the orogins and majority of skins ave joined the SHARP movement.
SHARP was born in New York in 1987, when mass media rumours and right-wing infiltrations had ruined the orginal skin cult spreading out the image of the bonehead the nazi and 'skinhead'.
Some skins, fed up with this situation, gave life to SHARP (SkinHeads Against Racial Prejudice) under the slogan 'pride without prejudice' to diffuse a different message, that skins are not all the same and that every skinhead has got his own ideas on politics as on every other thing: being a skinhead is a style and a cultural choice, not a political one.
Remember SHARP is an anti-racist movement not a policital movement...

I don't think it really matters what color shoelaces a person has. Honestly, I don't really pay that much attention!! :)
