As opposed to only those that are born to U.S. citizens.

To me it seems a foreign baby adopted by U.S. parents has more of a right to citizenship than a baby who's mother crossed the boarder illegally in order to make her baby an American citizen.

There's just something not right about allowing illegals to give birth to legals... its part of what makes deporting and prosecuting illegals so hard.

There is no question our laws are outdated in regards to illegal immigration.

And I agree with you 100% on this issue.

But with Republicans wanting to keep the government out of their businesses (rightfully, in my opinion), and the Democrats wanting to protect the civil rights of illegal aliens, and everybody wanting to do the humane thing, how do we achieve consensus?

I believe that law was originally written during slavery not for illegals who cross the border.

Good point.....it's just as bad as Illegals having access to public education REGARDLESS of their status(another ruling).
