I like playing board games that take hours to finish
The only problem is that I can never find any one to play the game with me at all

I'm so sick of Monopoly, and frankly I'm sick of seeing Monopoly as a favorite so often when every other day someone on here asks what's everyone's favorite board game.
Seriously, people, there are a lot of great new games out there. To list a few, Settlers of Catan, Carcassonne, Ticket to Ride and Apples to Apples are new, great games.
Check out www.boardgamegeek.com to see an exhaustive list of games, both old favorites and new. See what others think of the new games and use the site to find some new Family Night entertainment. Give Monopoly a rest... it deserves it.

I love playing Monopoly, it doesn't require as much thinking as a videogame, it's nice sometimes to chill with the family and play a boardgame. The game is long but we usually continue the next day or so. We hardly ever finish anyways.

I love playing monopoly. but unfortunatly it's really only fun with 3 or more people. and I can never find anyone else to play with me.

I actually like Monopoly....but I think it's a game you shouldn't wear-out....possibly only playing it once or twice a year.

in my opinion, this game is an invention of the devil! We've had more fights in our family over the monopoly board than anything else. It's banned in our house.

i do!!! though some may think it's boring, i love monopoly! i think it's the greatest board game in the world. there's something in it... well, i might even be monopoly-addicted! (really, i even play alone sometimes - imagining i am three different people)

I love to play it but only play maybe once or twice a year, any more than that would make it less fun. I am always the HAT!

I loved playing it with my Dad as he was such a cheat...it used to make me laugh that we'd always fall for his tricks no matter how many times we played it. He would always put on a few extra houses, one more hotel, or take extra pass go money when no one was looking! I learnt all I could from him!
