The defense is one of the best.... Tom Brady can throw and complete a pass to anyone and Laurence Maroney and Corey Dillon can always put up 150 yards plus on the ground collectively every game... you believe they can beat the Chargers and go all the way and win the Superbowl for a fourth time in six years?

Patriots are playing well. If (and I think they will) they beat San Diego this weekend they will have to be the favorite for winning the SB.

They have no chance. They beat up on the Jets, big whoop. The Chargers are a MUCH better team on both sides of the ball, they are rested, and playing at home where they are undefeated. This is going to be another rout just like last year.

I would never rule out the Patriots. Rememeber the coach they are facing this week, and his history. How does it compare to that of Belichick, both as Patriots coach and as defensive coordinator of the successful Giants teams. Belichick has a big task of slowing down LT, and 4 teams held him under 100 yards this year. You can bet they will be trying to stop the run first and force a young, inexperienced QB to have to beat them thru the air.

No, they won't win the Super Bowl. They made adjustments at halftime that the Jets couldn't handle, and they're probably going to have to face two of the toughest defenses in football just to get out of the AFC (unless the Colts win in Baltimore).

you know what? i like how everyone is ruling out the patriots just b/c of LT.
but they should NEVER be ruled out.
belicheck and brady come together and they play a great game.
i think it will be a challenge but i wouldn't be terribly surprised if they put a surprise end to the chargers playoff dreams
