My best friend is the funniest guy of the century and I trust him from the bottom of my heart. He's my best friend because my absolute BEST friend of 12 years moved out to Cali 2 years ago. I still talk to her, but not as much as I used to. HE didn't replace her, he just covered up the hole that was created in my heart when she left. Now he's IMPLYING that he's in love with me!! He keeps saying that he feels embarassed when he's around me, he's been thinking about me for the passed couple weeks and a bunch of other stuff. I Don't want to be with him like that b/c I'm afraid it'll ruin our friendship. AND I tolod him this!! plz tell me how I deal with it!!! should I just go out with him? should I try finding reasons to fall in love with him? Or am I doing the right thing to SAVE our friendship????

First of all you can not find reasons to be in love with someone you are or you are not. You have to ask yourself if you really could love him, if you think you could then by all means you should. Love is something people search their whole lives for and you may be one of the lucky ones as to have found it. Yes you may be risking your friendship but many of times people can walk out of a relationship and still be friends.

It's hard for guys and girls to be friend for this very reason. If you don't feel the same way about him, tell him. It's going to be hard to be his friend knowing that he has a thing for you. I had a lot of guy friends like that that I just stopped talking to because I couldn't deal with it. You're going to either have to date him or lose him depending on how you feel. Cause you can try to still be friends but it's going to be hard knowing what you know now.

In EVERY true relationship, the first step is to be friends first and then take it from there and a relationship is based on being friends. If you like him, give it a trial run but let him know first. Go out on dates and have fun. Take it slow and easy. If you both feel the same about each other then move to the next level but not until you both are ready. If he says you're ready to move to the next level and you are not ready, then it's not time to take the next step. Both must be ready.

The most successful marriages are when the couple is best friends in additional to being husband and wife. The single most important factor in marriage is keeping open the window of communication and friends communicate.
