OSU is 0-7 against sec. In fact, osu is too weak and does not deserve to play in the bcs championship game. They had easy schedule and that includes texas. Texas is a very weak team without vince young. As for michigan. USC thumps michigan. therefore. michigan is weak. I think the LSU vs USC are qualify to play in the BCS championship game. Remember, USC lost excellent players last yr (Matt, Reggie). And they are still strong. When osu plays without troy smith next yr, it'll be like texas. weak. Nobody in the big ten defeat USC

Actually this person is not an SEC fan you idiot. He is a USC fan. An SEC fan would have known they play Florida, not Florida St. He is right about OSU sucking next year, though. I also think USC would beat OSU, but they did not take care of their business and lost to two unranked teams. Had LSU beaten Florida, they would be playing in this game, but Florida beat them. The BCS got it right this year.

People over look the role of good coaching. The 2002 championship team, the Buckeyes, had no offense except for Maurice Clarett and an ok QB, Craig Krenzel. The reason they won is because of excellent strategy, the basics! They play solely for field position and time control, rarely ever making offensive mistakes, or taking gutsy plays. The only thing that I thought was a bad strategy was not letting Troy Smith play the entire first OSU/Texas game. On to the people that think OSU will be weak next year, I stay in Columbus and the word is out that there will be another QB stepping up with a stronger, more accurate arm and faster speed then Troy had as a high school senior. Also, Ginn and Gonzales will more than likely stay as well as Antonio Pittmans replacement Chris Wells who broke a 50+ yard TD in his first rivalry game against Michigan this year.
So take excellent coaching, a QB with 2 losses and 25 wins as a starter, 3 VERY dependable receivers, 3 VERY dependable RBs, 2 good LBs, great line men, offensively and defensively, and you have the 2006 Champions.
Buckeyes 34
Gators 27

OK most of their schedule is CONFRENCE and you can't blame a team for where they play. It's not like they play in a weak confrence and should find a better one. Want to talk about a WEAK Schedule, look no further then USC and the Pac-10. Add to that Notre Dame. Yeah that was SO tough through the whole year. Michigan is in the Big 10 and so OSU would likely play them no matter how strong or weak they are.
Oh and the Big East should be represented in the Title game based on YOUR logic. They went 5-0 in Bowl games to finish with the best record. After OSU beats Florida I will be able to say they tied for the most wins in Bowl games as well. So wouldn't a Big East team be a better representive then USC? Just have to pick between Louisville and WVU. Heck LSU only beat Notre Dame and did it AT HOME basically. That isn't a neutral site in reality.

Ridiculous question for two reasons:

1) OSU is playing Florida, NOT Florida St.

2) If OSU hasn't proved they are worthy of the title game, who has? I mean, they started and finished #1 in the nation with no real challengers at the top spot.

I believe that Florida will probably win due to the edge in overall athleticism and speed, but Ohio state is ABSOLUTELY worthy of playing in the game.

Very stupid question. Terrible.

michigan should paly in the bcs with ohio state. The Big Ten gets no respect. When Ohio State beat Texas when Texas was the #2 team Texas was the highest ranked one loss team for weeks of course until they lost there second game. Based on what was done for Texas. There should not have been a USC or Florida bouncing over Michigan when there only loss was to the number one team away.

OSU is definitely not too weak to play in the championship game. They have a Heisman winning quarterback in Troy Smith and arguably the best college linebacker in the game right now in James Laurinitis. Their offense is so potent.. look what they did to Michigan's #2 ranked rushing defense, Antonio Pittman ran all over them.

Yeah right SEC speed, Ted Ginn Jr. is slow right. Maybe next year the Pussy USC team won't choke and get to play in the BCS championship game and not the home Rose bowl game. As for LSU, they lost to Florida during the regular season.

Obviously an SEC fan.

Alabama, Tennessee and Arkansas all lost - all SEC teams.

The Big Ten and SEC were the two best conferences this year and to suggest OSU doesn't belong is preposterous.

OSU will win by 14 points tonight.

Go Bucs.
