Does woman seek to control a man to counter her own inner sense of insecurity, perhaps due to physical build?

Question

Is it not true that women who have unusually large physical build or strength, seem to behave more like men than women.... rough & tough and open & direct?

I am asking honestly and would please request objective answers. I have only posed a question and not expressed my opinion. I am also aware of the pitfalls in generalizations, but then exceptions often prove the rule.

Would like to know men's point of view as well.

I believe it's a result of historical control of women that mandated "Keep the women pregnant and barefoot!". Politically, socially and historically, women had no power except through their husbands. Few, anyway, and those who bucked the power structure paid dearly and often with their lives!

Well vanity and insecurity are found both in men and women. The world is built by the birth of a human being and women are blessed with this miracle known as bringing a life here to Earth. Weight lifting is a fad that both genders practise. To think a woman needs to behave as a man is ridiculous. If a man choses to stay at home and be domestic does that mean that he is less of a man or a man who wants to be a woman. There are many traditional roles in this life, some are better at a talent or profession than others. Society should appreciate the skill of a human, not judging their height, color, weight, gender, we all should be thank full that there are women who own business's, fly planes and defend freedom as well as the role of a mother. So the next time you see a physically built and strong intelligent woman, remember she is an individual human woman and part of the human race(men included)...

I truly believe that this generalization is equal to the bully theory of protecting oneself from harm by a means of controlling the surrounding. The insecurity you stated, if it exists, may be from people treating them in a way that requires them to act as a molded product instead of who they really are and some take to this for their life style to avoid confrontation with their true emotional feeling. These people do have feeling and are hurt by words the same as others but they attack the source face to face to mask their hurt. They do cry, bleed, and feel like a human being even if they don't, won't or God help us can't show it.

If you notice they will usually hang with very negative or very positive people and have no time for the average Joe if they have converted to this life style.

When was the last time you seen a muscle bound tough guy buy flowers for his grandmother before spending the day baking cookies and watching Lifetime with her. It might happen but social behavior would be to frown on these actions due to the fact we require a certain behavior to the look. We expect and they deliver then we call them freaks. People are people and we route them in childhood to fit what we think they should be.

I have friends like this and I see them cry also.

Truthfully-I think it has nothing to do with physical attributes.

Think of extremely strong opinionated Sicilian or Italian mothers-many tiny little gals. :)

Personally I believe it is the family life and upbringing that determines much of a woman's personality. I have many brothers and so in turn may be looked at as more of a 'tom-boy' than feminine.

What I be conscious many times is that many women human beings do not understand a thanks to channel their emotions into something powerful. No. It has to do with the way you are brought up. I am small, very girly in the appearance, but I have grown up with boys, my parents never treated me like a "girl", and I am very secure and straightforward, basically you could say i have a man's character in many aspects. So I don't agree and i find your approach sexist.

i think most women come off as controlling because they want the best for you, them and the relationship.

Some do. I know plenty of larger or stronger women who just want to love and be loved, not control.

actually, most men look to the woman for answers and pretty much to prop them up as though they were a wall to lean on. and some of them either stay standing or fall either way.
