My wife and I are celebrating our 6th anniversary this coming weekend and have made reservations in the Pigeon Forge/Gatlinburg area. We visit the area about once per year, but we usually do the same old stuff (walk through Gatlinburg, drive through some of the Great Smoky Mtn. Nat'l Park, see a show or two, etc.). I was just wondering if anybody has found anything really interesting in this area for adults to do other than the shows, shopping, and park. If you like the shows, which one do you think is the best? Any restaurants that you wouldn't want to miss out on? (Personally, we have to visit the Apple Barn restaurant every time we go!) Thanks in advance!

Instead of simply driving the Smokies, park up and do a dayhike. Some of the waterfalls are priceless. As far as where to eat....The Park Grill or The Peddler, both in Gatlinburg, both well worth the trip.
I don't spend much time in Pigeon Forge when I go, but the indoor skydiving thing does offer a different kind of fun.

Just a few thoughts, I love the area myself and go at least once a year to hike mountains. Enjoy your trip.

happy you're no longer in to a occasion scene, there is not any. Dollywood heavily isn't open yet. Cades Cove (super for viewing deer, elk and undergo) ought to nonetheless be closed reckoning on the climate. they have a great form of outlet paying for in Sevierville and Pigeon Forge. there's a Ripley's Aquarium in Gatlinburg - waste of money. lodging would be abundant and decrease priced this time of year. you would be interior the super Smokey Mountain national Park, places to hike and so on. The site visitors is undesirable no rely what time of year you circulate.

I've been there several times, and actually I'm going again in 94 days with my hubby and our two friends. Personally, I loved the Ripley's Aquarium. I've been to countless aquariums and love that one the most! I also love to go play Hill Billie golf in Gatlinburg. Dixie Stampede is great too.

They now have scooter rentals and such. Rent scooters one day to explore.

Have fun!

The last time my husband and I went to Gatlinburg we went to the Dixie Stampede and it was really entertaining. Beautiful horses and other animals and the food was pretty good....beware though...silverware is not allowed. They serve chicken and pork with sides, but you're supposed to eat it with your hands. Cute, but messy touch.
