Well, there's a traditional G-String. The style was introduced by the showgirls right here in Las Vegas....woo-hoo. It was the advent of the "thong" and fit precariously under the costume (Commonly referred to as the "under-g" in the industry it was flesh colored just in case it became unhooked from the hooks inside your costume that secured both the under-g and the fishnets) There's a T-back which is basically a crotch area with a string that sits at the waist (Get it, and the string looks like the letter T?) and the traditional "Thong Underwear" that has more fabric with the cheeks cut out, kinda like the cotton numbers from Vickie's Secret, big waist band and soft cotton up to just bellow the belly button. Since, the style has made it's way into main stream there are NUMEROUS directions it has gone to...it's followed our jeans to develop the "low rise" t-backs and "low rise" thongs, the boy shorts, there's the "Stringer G" which is most like the traditional G-String in that it's nothing more than a 2" tri-angle of fabric and a string of elastic and then Dang, if you're having a really bad day there's always COMANDO....gosh, who would have thought I could go on and on about chonies!!! I'm sure others will have good input, too.
