I bought Aztech wireless router and DSL modem. I use win XP but I cannot be connected to the internet. The network icon shows 'connected' with its speed...

Please help

The DSL modem, and possibly the wireless router have to be set up by the provider. If the DSL is Verizon, you must call to get it set up for PPPOE always on connection. It requires a name and password be stored in the router. The wireless router may be easier, unless you want encription.

I assume DSL modem was working before?

DSL modem's ethernet port goes into router's WAN port.

Then get another cable (yes, I said CAT 5 cable) and link from first port (usually there are 4 more ports in the router) to a PC's NIC card.

Get instructions for router and run configuration on both PC and router.

Try and hold the reset button in, on the back of the router, with a pen, for 30 seconds. If that does not work, unplug your modem, router, and computer, for 1 minute, then plug them back in, and boot up your computer, and see if it works now. If not, do the reset button again. I have done this a couple of times, and usually it will help..good luck..
