Anyone else out there a fan of Doris Day?? I know she had a reputation of being a goody-two-shoes but I think she is beautiful, had a figure to die for and an amazing voice.

I heard that she is still a strong advocate for animals and has lots of them herself. In fact, she founded the Doris Day Animal Foundation. She's also part owner of a hotel. She was born on April 3, 1924 so she'd be 82.

Wow, Doris! I have been a fan of her for MANY years, since my Mum and I would watch her musicals together on a Satuday afternoon. Doris rocks.
And the best thing is, I wrote to her last year and she sent me a signed photo dedicated to me...I will treasure it forever!

Yes I am fan of Doris Day, one of movie I love - Calamity Jane ( play tomboy Jane) and fantasy voice to sing and that lovely smile in 40's to 50's movie she make in life. sad she stop make any more movie since then she devoted to rescue dogs and own over 50 dogs she saved and lived well I believe now.

Yes. Calmity Jane is one of my alltime favs. I love her voice! Ehhh and she wasn't really a goody two shoes...

She is one of my absolute favourite actresses - have watched most of her films.... but my faves of hers has to be:
Calamity Jane - take me to the black hills, the black hills of Dakota......
Pillow Talk - you are my inspiration......
The Man who Knew too much - Hitchcock Thriller (Que sera sera)
She has such a great voice too.... i watch all the repeats i can on tv... sad i know - but she makes me smile and feel better!!!

I love watching her movies. I remember when I was growing up, my mom and I would watch some talk show she had. I just watched "Move Over, Darling" this past week. I really like "Pillow Talk" too.
