There were three biggies that made a horse's patoot out of pres Johnson.. two are listed here, answered by other people. :) 1 is the vietnam war 2 is the pulling of his beagles ears and 3 of course is the fact that while black americans were living in poverty and squallor.. Lady Bird Johnson (pres johnson's wife) and perhaps himself also, (don't know about him for sure) was the rent collecting owner of a lot of run down property rented out to blacks who had no resources nor hope to improve themselves.. living in slum like conditions. I would suppose all three of these things would tic anybody off. but he couldn't really handle any of this. I'll have to think about this question deeper and consider what in the world he actually did handle.. hmmm
