Depends on the exact situation, probably.

Basically, you should be as direct as possible and use exact terms...such as when I talk to children at my school about delicate issues (I am their counselor at the middle school level), I call things by their correct name and never use slang terms. A penis is a penis, not any other little names they might be called. I say "breast", not "boob". Etc... Then there is no question about what I am talking about. That seems to let them know I am talking seriously. It is just more professional, too.

Your question isn't clear enough! Do you want to write something about a humorous subject in a serious way? Or do you ask how to write in a humorous way about a serious subject?

please, clarify it!
