"Lean on Me" is a well known hit song by Bill Withers from the 1972 album Still Bill. It is ranked number 205 on the List of Rolling Stone's 500 Greatest Songs of All Time. It has been interpreted by various artists ever since, including Mud (1976), Club Nouveau (1987) and Michael Bolton (1994). Even though he has not released a version, country singer Kenny Rogers has performed the song at his concerts.

Bill Withers did the original, then the Timex Social Club did another version in the late 80's early 90's and Big Daddy Kane did a hip hop version for the movie with the same name around 1988.
