I know of a CHRISTIAN school in Quebec that is getting in trouble for not teaching evolutionism. Hey you "open minded" libs. That sounds like communism to me. That is what is going to happen here in America if we let them gain control.

Under US law, a private school can pretty much teach whatever it wants. There's a difference between saying something is in error and something is illegal.

From what I hear, Canada is indeed becoming more hostile to religion.

Canada is becoming a less free country, at least where religious belief is concerned.

It would have been helpful if you had provided something substantial to back up your assertion.

I know that a number of US school districts that have opted to teach creationism and NOT evolution. As a Canadian, I have heard no such thing about the curriculum of any Canadian school but if this is a small, private school in Quebec then I suppose the possibility is there. However, what you imply is that they are not including evolution in their teaching and the province or local school district is on their case about it.

Since science has largely proven the theory of evolution, no responsible school board would permit such one sided and close minded views (i.e. creationism) to be taught without balancing religious thought with scientific theory.

Which is more "communist"? Teaching students both sides of an argument or keeping them completely ignorant of the very existence of the balancing argument?

Look in your own backyard and decide how "open minded" your creationist school boards are!

Yep, blame it on the libs. Yet you follow Bush would could be leading the way for that kind of thing in America. To make a long story short. Think about the vouchers for private schools Bush was pushing for a few years back. Ok, you are taking vouchers funded by taxpayers money to let anybodies kid go to a private school. Tax money used in a school? You cant teach religion in it anymore because its being funded and paid for with tax money. Technically it is no longer a private school. . You have to teach evolution. Think about it.
Its not just a lib/dem thing or the democrats fault.

I thought Canada was a socialist country.
OH well I am not always right I am occasionally wrong.
Regardless of what type of school it is if it gets government funding it should also teach evolution or whatever they want it to teach.
However since you have provided no links or sources for this I can only say:

Nice sources.

If a school is publicly funded under law they are forced to adhere to a government approved curriculum.

I don't see any problem with this, if a school would like to teach it's own independent curriculum then they should waive the right to public money.

The school in question is a publicly funded Catholic school as many catholic schools are in Canada. Because catholic schools are publicly funded they have to be open to all religions, and accept a certain standard for curriculum. If you wish your child to obtain a solely chritian education they should be sent to a christian private school.

As I have heard the last elected government of Canada is rather right wing. Well at least they went with that "commie" idea of having honest elections as did NOT happen in the USA since 1996.

Wow, so you heard of ONE school in Quebec doing this and you now have made this giant leap of faith and assumed the entire country is that way.
I've heard of schools, (note, I've said more then one), in Kansas that are teaching creationism, so does that now mean I can assume your whole country is doing that?

Give me a break, one idiot school in Quebec does not make the whole country that way.
Fool!!

Note: Private schools in Canada are not funded by the government.

Oh my goodness, secular people being as intolerant as religious people, whatever next.
And Canada turning Communist.
What next, blowing up federal buildings ,hanging blacks, burning churches, 60,000 murders a year.
Then they illegally invade various countries, and open an illegal prison camp on some offshore Island.
Oh sorry that's us.
Try looking for examples of intolerance closer to home.
You might find that it's closer than you think

Whatever that has in common with Communism I don't know. It's not as if it's forced Atheism.
Teaching evolution is necessary -believe what you wish but it did actually occur.
This isn't discriminatory.
