I disagree with the poster that said there are no cheap deals to Vegas. It all depends on where you would be flying from and when you'd like to do. USAir is the major carrier in my city and after checking the normal sites like Travelocity, Orbitz, Expedia, Travelzoo etc., I took a chance and checked USAirways Vacations. Funnily enough, they had the cheapest package. I'm leaving on a Wednesday and coming back on a Saturday (3 nights and a direct flight) and staying at the Stratosphere and I was able to get a package for 2 people for $550.00. And no, I don't live anywhere close to Vegas (I'm on the east coast).
I think it depends on what you're willing to compromise on- I read that the Stratosphere is on the nothern end of the strip and wasn't one of the mega-casinos, but I really couldn't beat the price and couldn't come anywhere near it. I think you should just look around and compare prices. If you're traveling with someone else and you guys split the price, you could conceivably pay around $275 for a 3-night trip. Hope this helps you.

Check all the rates, and look at the days/months you would be travelling. My husband and I went mid week in April and got 5 days, 4 nights at the Aladdin (central strip) Suite, plus flight for less than $750.
My friend attends time share seminars, such as trendwest, and gets free tickets to Vegas for 2 days, then pays the option to upgrade (nicer hotel, or better flight). It costs about $200 with the upgrades for a 3 day stay.

There is no such "weekend for cheap" getaways to Las Vegas. I've been a Bellman for over 2 years at a major strip property and EVERY SINGLE WEEKEND (Thursday to Sunday) WE ARE SOLD OUT. (All 2130 rooms.) We are literally turning people away. If you want to a room, start calling dive hotels, because thats where your chances lay. If you want "cheap rates" You need to fly/stay when THERES NO CONCERTS / EVENTS / CONVENTIONS!! If there's no bodies in the rooms, the rates go down, If theres LOTS OF BODIES (CES IS IN TOWN RIGHT NOW) PRICES GO WAY UP! ((For instance, 2 weeks ago a standard room rate for monday was 67 bucks (not inc tax.) Today, that same room is renting for 249!))
If you want to stay on the cheap, look at casino websites....online they advertise cheaper rates than what you'll be quoted on the tele. BOOK IN ADVANCE, rates can change the minute after you call. Same goes for airfare....traveling during the week is always cheaper than on a weekend. Half of California moves to LV every weekend for fun....So you gotta get the jump on them.
Good Luck!

Try http://www.southwestvacations.com/ They have really good package deals to Vegas. I noticed you can go cheaper if you go on Sunday and come back by Thursday or Friday, because the weekends are so busy.

Try Allegiant Air, and book a package hotel deal, staying downtown. Lots cheaper than the Strip, lower minimums in the casinoes, and lots of fun. Play in the Golden Gate, corner of Fremont and Main.

Check Expedia...check individual airlines and individual hotels....sometimes the package deals aren't always the best deals. Research.
