The whole issue began with an illegal act by invasion of a sovereign country in contravention of the UN charter.
Therefore everything is illegal and nothing legal in the actions of the USA towards and even being in Iraq.
I can tell you from my personal experience of 25 years in Iraq prior to the illegal invasion that so long as you did not interfere with the political system you had nothing to fear in Iraq.
As usual the victor and occupying power writes the story and uses the media to pump out its propaganda for the ill informed westerners to hear and see on CNN & BBC.
Most ordinary Iraqis wish their President Saddam Hussein was back in power instead of the corrupt political exiles brought back by the USA to now form the USA puppet government.
PSH was a tough guy but that is what Iraq must have with so many conflicting minorities and religions.
The whole issue was based on "oil money" and the fact that PSH was going to sell all oil in Euro's and cancel the US dollar as the oil trading currency (like Chavez) also that PSH had placed an oil sales ban on the USA and UK for the sanctions they applied and enforced on Iraq.
In the end the USA contrived the political murder of PSH to cover its complicity in the Iran-Iraq war and the supply of all manner of weapons to Iraq.
To answer your question: The USA and the UK politicians all should go on trail for the genocide carried out on the Iraqi people.
Bush & Bliar should be held directly responsible and go on trail at the Hauge.

s1) Iraq wasn't invaded for nothing...The US used Saddam and when he was no longer of use, they stabbed him in the back. Being in Iraq allows the US to steal Iraqi oil, and provides a military position in the middle east. (Not counting Israel).
2) There is no doubt that we have been manipulated about how bad Saddam was. The fact is the US/UK troop in Iraq have done some pretty horrendous things. If the goal was to get rid of a dictator....well there are plenty of them around who have done and still are doing worse than what Saddam has done.
As for people who mentioned 9/11, though a tragedy.....Saddam had nothing to do with it!!!!!Some people will believe anything the media says.
Saddam did not stop UN inspectors. He complied to all inspections!

Did you know, the US offered around 30 -thirty- reasons to go to war with Iraq. Those WMD's were given to Saddam BY THE US, Saddam destroyed them in the late 1990's, the US also gave Saddam the gas he used on Talabja in 1988. At the Time of the US coalition, North Korea ALREADY had WMD's READY TO GO, and North Korea was a country twice the military strength of Iraq, all that Bush said about the WMD's in Iraq and that ''Iraq poses a global threat'' -was a load of bull!! Everyone lies. And everyone listens...... everyone believes........ haha.

Hello,
ANS:- No1. if your asking me do I think the USA & UK killed alot of completely innocent Iraqies (men, woman & children & old people) in the process of invading the country. Then my answer has to be YES! and its heart braking and sickening because I beleive it could have been avoided. Given different choices & other stratergies.
No.2 Do I think Bush & Blair lied or told untrueths in order to press home the invasion then YES!. I think both Bush & Blair think they are on sort of divine mission on behalf of a christian god to bring so called democrasy to Iraq. (which is madness!!).
**There is totally no doubt in my mind that Saddam Hussain was a dictator, who ruled by fear. Who murdered innocent people if he saw them as any kind of threat, or just because he enjoyed wealding the power of life or death in his hands.
**There is no doubt that 28years of Saddam Hussains rule did do untold pyschological damage to the iraqi peoples. But from a moral or ethical point of view is the US UK invasion any better or is it worse no! its equally aweful, equally a total disaster for the country.
**I still think that the USA had a hidden agenda to try and get its hands on the Iraqi oil resources and impose US style democrasy at the same time but clearly this has back fired and blown back in their faces. The whole thing is a total disaster and its cost the US billions of dollars, the UK too doesnt come out of it well at all. I am totally shamed of what Blair did on behalf of the UK peoples. As much as 50% of the UK population were totally against this war from day 1.

Wow,
1. How did saddam gas the kurds? (There is the proof)
2. Where is your source?
3. The democratically elected leaders decided on saddam's fate? The judges also decided on saddam's fate?
1. A war crime? No.
2. Saddam:
-Stalled and stopped U.N. inspectors
-Violated the No Fly Zone (that he and his government signed)
-Killed thousands of dissidents through torture in his underground torture chambers
-Invaded his neighbor kuwait and looted it on a grand scale
-Gassed the kurds in northern iraq
How can you defend this man?

1) Based on Intel from various worldwide sources
2) After removing the tyrant Saddam a new government was formed with the help of the US
3) Saddam was tried and convicted in a Iraqi court with British trained judges
It is not a war crime unless congress, who voted for the war were to be charged also
Saddam was a tyrant who murdered the dissenters of his country.

Yes what Bush did in his lies to the American Public was a Crime against Humanity as well as against the American Public.
It was not the Business of our Village Idiot George Warprofits Bush to define Saddam Hussein - especially since it was the Republicans who armed him with many of the WMDs he used against Iran and the Kurds!
Saddam's death was just another Bush Screw-up!!!!!!!!
