What do you mean by dragon fish?
Do you mean a mandarin dragonet?

In which case, the difference is obvious. Most dragonets collected are males. They have much longer dorsal fins, and the male is considerably larger.

You may also be refering to the lion fish (sometimes called dragon fish):

In which case there is no visible difference between male and female.

Or possible the violet goby aka dragon fish:

Again, no visible difference

If it is something other than that, you'll have to be more speific.

Well I look at the tales. Im not sure if its true but if the tale is long and frilly I think its a girl and if the tale is short and shaped evenly I guess its a boy. Thats how I guess the genders, Im not sure though its seems like an ok way to do it. I cant believe that other person said to eat it and if your happy its a boy or something thats grose and mean.
