how far back does your memory take you?

can you remember when you were 2 years old?
how about when yu were 4?

i remember small things... like my parents smoking cigarettes & listening to pink floyd & jimmy hendrix... i guess i was about 3

I remember my grandfather's funeral. My sister was watching some movie on t.v. and it was a funeral scene- I'm not sure if it was that day or several days before- but I know I was watching it with her. I remember when my dad carried me into the funeral home I saw my grandpa in the casket and I didn't understand he was dead, but I knew it was his funeral because I'd watched that movie with my sister. I was like 2 1/2.

The one thing I remember from when I was 2 was playing in the sand pit at playschool and seeing a huge black bug! The other thing I remember from maybe even earlier than 2 was sleeping in the crib in my grandparents bedroom and looking throught the netting to see the TV, seeing as they were watching :)

I remember when I was 2 years and 11 months old, I was cutting out paper dolls in the back seat of the car that my mother was driving, I pulled the door handle instead of the window and I fell out of the car going 70 miles per hour. The doctor said that the fur coat and hat I had on saved my life. My older bros. and sisters was reading story books that had been given to me. I had on a pair of flannerl pj's that had peppermint candies painted on them and my grandmother brought me a huge hershey's candy bar, cause that was my favorite candy, then. I had a brain concussion and a fractured skull.

I can remember as far back as 2 years old (being potty trained). I cant remember some months or years later on in childhood though. Selective memory, I guess.

Around 2 years old and then I can remember almost everything from the age of 3. That was the age my sister was born..... O_o

I still have dreams where I am in this beautiful house that we owned...when I was 6 months old, trying to learn how to walk, and falling face first thru the glass coffee table. I remember my mom freaking out and seeing blood. guess it was my first bad memory, huh?
(and my memory is really bad...i rely on other people to remember things for me.)
