Okay ladies and gentlemen... I come to see your match up views for on the game between Seattle and Chicago this Sunday (1/14/07).
Seahawks or "Da" Bears?
I am a Seattle fan, grew up in Seattle, and migrated East to Richland WA, now I am in Nashville, TN with hopes Seattle can pull off a win against the NFC's No. 1 seed, Chicago. Last time the Bears and Hawks played, Alexander was out with an injury. Can he pull it off this game???
Give me your thoughts... No hating. Just want a clean game for both teams. Chicago is a great team... but have to root for my home team, as I would anyways... but with them head to head would like to know what ya'll think. Thanks!

I did watch the game on Saturday, no matter how you view it... a win is a win. True Romo bobbled the ball, that was the first chance... then he ran it and we flat out tackled him... second chance fair and square. Count it in the books... Hawks won.
Had Romo not bobbled the ball, Dallas probably would have won, but considering he did run it for the TD, and was tackled outside the two... He was even short of the first down. Time was out, therefore it was a win!
I agree that it was a pitiful game. Both teams looked lost, and Seattle will have to PLAY this week. But it also depends on which Grossman comes to play...

Chicago easily. Seattle didn't "win" their last game, Dallas lost it. IMO, both teams looked very poor and as soon as Seattle meets a real defense, they're going down.
Sorry to burst your bubble.

I am a hard-core Chicago Bears fan, and if I were to pull myself away from my team loyalty and look at this game as an outsider with an outsiders' point of view, I would still give the edge to the Bears.
Here's why: Chicago may have played a couple poor games this season, but they still managed a NFC best, 13-3 record. Rex Grossman has been great and awful all year, but I fully expect him to right his ship in the right direction come playoff time. The stellar running game of the Bears will be their key to victory, as Seattle will not be able to stop the tandem of Thomas Jones and Cedric Benson.
Seattle's secondary is depleted this week, and the young, speedy receivers of the Bears should have no problem getting away from the defense.
Seattle is pretty banged up, Alexander is not running with the same intensity he had last year, the receivers are underachieving and the Seahawks basically won the West by default.

I live in Chicago and I think, along with a lot of other people around here, that Seattle will win this game. Like you said Alexander did not play last time they matched up. Also, the bears have been playing horribly lately. The Defense is not nearly as dominant as they were earlier in the year. They can be run on and Alexander is just the man to do it. Not to mention the Grossman factor. He will have at least three turnovers. It could be a close game, but I see Seattle winning. My guess is 23 to 17. Go Seahawks!

I'm a complete and total die-hard Seattle fan, which until a few years ago, was very difficult. You can always tell a true fan if they remain faithful even when their team sucks.
Even so, I think the 'Hawks will have their work cut out for them. If they can get Alexander and Strong into their groove early in the game, they stand a pretty good chance.
BUT . . . Seattle's weak point has always been giving up huge plays (such as that pathetic kick-off run back last week) and big pass plays as well. With their patched-up secondary, I don't quite think they'll be able to pull it out.
Unfortunately, my money would be on the Bears, even though my heart's with the Seahawks.
The ONLY chance Seattle has to pull it out would be to rattle Grossman (sp?) early and dominate with the run. If they can do that, they may be able to squeak by. But I'm not holding my breath.

Seatle. I think Seatle's defense will blitz Rex Grossman and he will throw interceptions, which would lead to touchdowns. I think the Bears will also stop the seahawks, but it wont be enough, because Rex Grossman will throw a lot of bad interceptions which will cost them the game, just like what happenned when the Bears played Miami earlier in the season.

As much as I think Chicago is over-rated and doesn't deserve to be there (as they should have lost about 4-6 more games during the regular season), I think they will beat Seattle. Actually, Seattle shouldn't have made it past Dallas.

Bears D will have several players come back from injuries for their first playoff game. If Rex doesn't turnit over more than 2 times and Tank Johnson doesn't shoot anyone, the Bears should win.
Bottom line...Only the Bears can beat Bears.

After watching the Seahawks beat Dallas this weekend I have to go for the Seahawks. I am from Illinois so I will have to cheer silently but I think it is going to be a good game. Plus Rex Groseman is a retard and he is going to throw 3 interceptions so it is going to be a good game either way!!!
