First of all I would like to let you know that a dolphin is not a fish. Second I searched around and have found no instances of this ever occuring. It seems to me highly unlikely. A dolphin is more apt to use its snout or tail when threatened. They do have teeth and they can bite but generally they keep to themselves if they are left alone.

I would have to say yes if the situation presented itself. They eat fish like Mackerel and such, which are bigger than the human foot. They are very adept at protecting themselves too. Dolphins can and do kill sharks all the time. They tighten the muscles in their heads and bash the shark to stun it. Once the shark stops swimming, it will drown. So...
