That's so cute, isn't it? It's completely normal. It's also human nature. It's easier for them to push their own weight away from the floor and go backwards than it is to balance their weight and go forward. He'll get the hang of it... don't worry.

be careful putting a 4 1/2 month old baby in the walker. A lot accidents happen when baby is left alone in walker and you should wait till he is older like 6 or 7 month before you put him in walker.
Most baby start walking backward because its easier for their legs to kick that way.
once again, 4 1/2 month old baby is too young to be in walker!!!!

Both of my kids started out going backwards in their walkers. If yours is doing that after only two days then he is doing really well.

According to my mother, i went everywhere backwards as a child. I never hit anything but that was just how I liked to get around. I turned out pretty normal

Yes it's easier to go backwards at first. To encourage him forwards, try holding some food or a toy in front of him.

Of course it is. It's easier for them to push themselves backwards than to try to walk forward.

Yes, all babies do. It is because of how they push off the floor. Give it a bit and they will get the hang of it.

He might just be trying it out, your can't expect him to go the right way straight away. He's just trying a few different things.
