I recently went to a Shell Gas Station & seen a seperate gas pump labeled "Natural Gas". There was nothing there saying it is o.k. to use it on any car, so i didn't bother thinking it could mess up the engine since it might just be made for specialty cars. I looked it up online, still there's no explanation on it if it's o.k. to use for Acura's, Honda's, Mitsubishi? whatever car.....does anyone know? thanks....

A car has to be specially equipped to be able to use natural gas.

Don't for any reason try to use natural gas unless your vehicle is purchased as a multi fuel vehicle or is specifically equipped as a natural gas only vehicle.

The obvious clue as to what fuel you can use is the 'UNLEADED FUEL ONLY' sticker on your dash AND on your fuel door AND your fuel cap, AND your owners manual.

Hope this helps.

your car has to be set up for natural gas you have to have a pressurized gas tank,so don't put it in your car it may go KABOOM. Natural gas is like propane.Someone had to be playing with a gas pump you should go back there and ask them what the hell they are doing.

Your car has to be "converted" to use natural gas. It requires a special intake system and fuel tank. Natural gas is a true gas (in it's natural form) and not a liquid like gasoline. They are not interchangeable...

I use the best gas there is. I choose Chevron gas only cause its got higher octane. It may be expensive, but at least I won't be adding any fuel cleaner to clean out my tanks. Plus,if you're car is in between the years 2000-2007, you may want to better you're vehicle with the better octane. Nobody is better than Chevron. Good Luck!

I would really have to say "no." It's not ok to use it in your car. Best thing you could do is casually ask the folks at the Shell station what it's used for. Don't say, "Can I put that in my car?" They might laugh at you. Just casually ask what the pump is for.
