Why is barely any oil being shipped out of Iraq? Could it be from terrorist attacks? Wait, that doesn't make any sense, I mean with the largest military in the world couldn't Bush just concentrate the forces to getting oil out of Iraq?

It is more about the US dollar than the actual oil itself. The US dollar is foundering badly.
Have you read The PNAC report written by Cheney and other members.Especially read the 90 page report from 2000.It will explain to you our current foreign policy.
http://www.newamericancentury.org/
Have you noticed the inverse relationship between gold and the US dollar lately. The US govt is doing everything it can to keep the price of gold down but it will go way up.The dollar will go below 80 on the USDX and then the **** will really hit the fan
You may be aware of countrues in the Middle east moving away fro the US dollar as a reserve, switching to Euros instead.
China has trillions of dollars as well. When they sell off their US funds the dollar will take a huge beating. This will probably happen when the dollar goes below 80 on the USDX.
KITCO.COM is a handy site for anyone interested in this.Look at the gold charts everyday. Then scroll to the bottom to see the USDX values for the US dollar............good articles too

Ever given a thought to the fact that the U.S. had a huge stockpile of military equipment and weaponry they hadn't had a chance to use? or U.S. companies sitting on unsold military equipment and weaponry? The plan was already in place before Bush took office to seize Iraqi oil. Why don't people accept that. The information is all over the Internet. Some of it was obtained through the Freedom of Information Act. Such info cannot be changed.
You are wrong that Iraq's oil isn't flowing. Yes there were countless well fires. But because the Iraqis have to wait in line to get a few gallons of Pietro doesn't mean the U.S. doesn't have a source for themselves.
Bush doesn't want to pull any troops out of Iraq. Haven't you heard. 20,000 or more will be deployed soon, unless Congress pulls a miracle and prevents it. And just wait and see. Those 20,000 (or even more if Bush has his way) will STAY in Iraq.
Wait and see.
...and please of course big U.S. oil companies have already brokered oil contracts with Iraq. Its no secret. Accept it.

Bush has admitted that success in Iraq is necessary due to our dependence on oil. The war might not be FOR oil, but oil is definitely one of the factors as admitted by the administration.

If you dont understand it by now you are never going to understand it.
It is about preserving the oil for our future use in 20-30 years. We need a pro US government in place in Iraq so we can dictate the future sale of the oil. It is really not that hard to understand.

I think Iraq wasn't about enriching Bush, Cheney, Rice or others. It was, in essence, a failed bid to install democracy for the sake of Israel's security.

There is oil, certainly, in Iraq -- Don't you remember Rummy's promises that Iraqi oil would fund this war and reconstruction (rather than the now-depleted American treasury)?

i in my view think of this is merely undeniable ignorant and a clean occasion of ways influential the liberal media has been to deprave the minds of the usually used public. First, if there is any information of Bush and/or his kinfolk rapidly taking advantage of the oil produced in Iraq, then Bush may be impeached and in reformatory. you haven't any longer heard Congress point out something approximately that because of the fact there is no information to assist the declare. Secondly, if Bush deliberate all this, then how do you account for the full Congress, provide or take a small handfull of congressmen, voted to honor the United international locations selection that authorized the removing of Saddam Hussein. Thirdly, how do you clarify all the different international locations, i think of it replaced into some 60+, that assisted with honoring the UN selection? to ensure that your "hate Bush" conspiracy to be found out, you will possibly could desire to have significant gamers in the governments of all those international places, maximum all of Congress, and the management in the UN to affix that conspiracy. Do you particularly think of this is a hazard to do and we, the individuals in this u . s . and all those different international places, does not seize wind of such or no longer have any complicated information to sell such? jointly as this government can do many stuff covertly, this may be too great a job to do. i might strongly propose which you start to enhance the thought and positioned complicated actual information in place to assist the thought. i think of you will run into deadend after deadend subsequently signifying that the thought isn't attainable.

Invading a sovereign country is not like going to the food store. Carrots and pineapples don't have a say. People do.
Also, If that was his agenda, I doubt he would put it up front as bluntly by just shippin oil tankers. His primary goal was different and in the eyes of the world's observers he can only stick to it, now that his first reason sunk deep.

That was more or less the original idea. Unfortunately, things did not go as planned. Iraq insurgency was totally unexpected and is causing problems to any oil plans.

Finally, a smart person asking a question who thinks for themselves.

I wish everyone would listen to reason like this person.

It isn't about oil, if it was, we would have invaded Venezuela or Nigeria (a lot closer and easier shipping).

Do you honestly think the government is going to tell you the truth about the oil situation over there?
