Any kind of laptop doesent matter ABOUT how long does it run

Most laptops, the case fan goes on and off as needed. Anytime the temperature inside the case rises, the fan turns on. So how often and how long will be determined by the temperature of the place where you are using it, how good of an airflow it is getting, how intensely you are using the laptop (run the CD and it will heat up the inside faster, for example). So there is no one answer to "how long" other then "until the inside is cool enough".

Most do not run all the time. But I have read about some laptops that have a control that you can set it to run continuously.

on and off.
and i don't know how long.. i don't usually count or keep track.
but when i'm laying in bed at night it can be really quiet and then i hear it turn on.. but i normally tune it out.
