I have always been told to stick with one type. It isn't bad to switch between the store brand and the name brand, ie. Parents choice and similac advance. Read the labels on the back and if they are the same or almost exact I would say it's ok, if not I personbally wouldn't switch too much. It may hurt the baby's tummy.

I was always told by my pediatrician to stick to one type. It can cause the baby's stomach to get very upset and I've even heard of children not sleeping well because their formula is changed.
Before switching, I would ask your pediatrician what they think.
Edit: I don't qualify for WIC, but I stick to using one type (Similac). The baby has been on it since birth and I can usually get it cheaper at Target than at the grocery store.

I don't think it's good because some of the formulas might upset your baby's stomach. I stuck with the same brand until my child got off of formula. But you should get on WIC, it really will help you out alot because I know formula is high as hell to buy.

It is best not to change a newborn's formula often. Their digestive systems are still being fine-tuned and switching brands may upset your baby's tummy. Try sticking to one brand and stocking up when it's on sale (which is rarely, I know) or when you can use more than one canister per coupon.

no. you need to stay consistent. wal-mart always has the goodstart DHA & ARA can's on sale for $11/small & $21/large. A large can would last my daughter 3-4 weeks depending on how ounces she was drinking.

I wouldnt change unless he is having a reaction to the formula. If he is doing good on his formula stick with it. Its not good to always be switching because his little body has to adjust to a new formula each time which causes more gas and stomach aches. I would talk to you pedi. if you are wanting to switch. I personally wouldnt of he is doing good. hope that helps.
