Your daughter will become fluent in a second language when she is around native speakers quite a bit. My infant cousine started picking up persian when she had an Iranian nanny. If you make friends from another culture and start to learn their language yourself, that may help.

I don't really have a good answer for you, but I'm wondering the same thing for my daughter.
So far I've been watching videos with my daughter and repeating the words (since babies learn from actual people better than from videos), and I plan on buying baby books for her in different languages. Hopefully we can learn together!
Also, you could try getting software/cd's that teach *you* the language, and speak to her in that language as you're learning. Or look on craigslist.org for a tutor in your area.
Good luck! I'm watching this question for more suggestions for myself and my daughter!

I discovered English from mom and dad (i'm American). I discovered French in college and that i studied very tricky. maximum French ppl discovered French from Maman and Pere and discovered English in college. however English is substantially studied in France, many French ppl are no longer comfortable speaking English (they're in France, in spite of each thing) and few could have the ability to speak English w/o a French accessory. In France, i've got in basic terms encountered one guy or woman who ought to bypass herself off as American and he or she quite grew up interior the US with French mothers and fathers. some French ppl can talk appropriate British English and bypass themselves off as British. interior the US, an excellent difficulty is that youngsters start up interpreting distant places languages at age 14 (or 18) while it could have been plenty easier to evaluate yet another language at age 6. the phobia that the toddlers won't have the ability to speak English is ridiculous. some hours of interpreting French, German or Spanish won't reason childrens to miss English. I bear in mind that for the time of undemanding college, the instructor suggested that there become no ought to learn any distant places languages via fact ppl international huge spoke some English. I generally have been given the impact that interior the accepted public colleges, there's an excellent combat for pay and no instructor needs the college to spend any $$$ hiring a distant places language instructor.

My sister uses the baby leap frog flash cards with spanish on one side and english on the other. She also has the videos that teach simple words and numbers one by one. They work on one word per week and then make crafts and such with that word. He really enjoys it.
