Some states have already voted in an increase for their state. The federal government has not approved an increase in 9 years, although Congress has voted themselves $30,000 in raises during that period. The Democratic House of Representatives has committed to getting a Federal laws passed to increase minimum wage, during their first 100 hours.

Not soon enough.
I make much more than minimumn wage. I was drawing unemployment a couple years ago and was still making much more than minimumn wage. I dont see how anyone can live on minimumn wage. It should be renamed SLAVE WAGE because these people expect others to work like slaves for next to nothing.
To the first person who posted in this thread...you said you hope its not raised? Why on earth not? You should have to live on minimumn wage for a year. I bet you wouldnt last a month.

I think it's already raise in our state, Massachusetts to $7.50, to see other states and the date they will raise their miniumn wage, you can check following link at

I believe it just came up to 6.15 from 5.15 in North Carolina.
