Should students be allowed to dropout from school?

Of course they should. Its their right to ruin their lives no matter how problematic or harsh that sounds. If the teachers do all they can to no avail, then let them screw it up. They will realize their mistake later.

Yes after 16 it is legal in most states to drop out from high school. Earlier than that is a pity, as these people will be lacking many of the life skills and lessons learned in school.

Dropouts, however, may not necessarily be a burden on society as some of the other answerers were stating. Many famous people with highly successful careers dropped out.

Sure, but they should know they will never make more than minimum wage. Many fast food places now will not hire unless the employee has a diploma. If you only make minimum wage, you'll never have a fine car, nice apartment, cool clothes, vacations. Pretty soon, you'll have to take a second minimum wage job to make ends meet..... or resort to crime. Either way, life without that diploma is one dead end street.

I think the law already in place is fine (students can legally drop out at 16). I'm not saying it's good to drop out, but students should have the option. If they want to make minmum wage and live with their parents till they're 45, it's their choice.

NO!! They shouldn't, can you imagine all the kids running around doing nothing. School keeps them busy. I can't stand to see kids after school doing nothing, seeing unsupervised kids all day would drive me crazy.
