Let's start off with what I wear, I wear pretty tight fitting jeans, with panties, seldomly wear thongs/g-strings. And I usually shave "down there". However it was a week that I haven't done so, and when I was sitting, I hit a position where i felt like one of my labias got stung by something, the pain was very quick and felt a bit excruciating because of the sensitivity in that area. A few days have passed and now I have this bump there, it isn't a blister, so I've ruled out herpes. It is sort've purplish/pinkish in color, and is on my left labia, causing it to swell up. It was more "enflamed" yesterday because I had worn some tight pants, but the swelling has gone down drastically. Now that I've shaved all the hair off to prevent any more friction, it seems to be more sensitive and more painful with every wrong movement. Any help, females? I haven't got any insurance and Planned Parenthood's open/close hours coincide with my school/work hours. Please help!

I have had no sexual contact in the past 2 weeks, and when it was it was with someone whom I trusted and was a monogamous relationship. Anyone who has had an ingrown hair in that region, how long did it usually take to heal? on its own? any topical creams used? And has the "enflamed" area turned a different sort of color? Please help (:

I know I've posted this question many times before, but I just want all the information out. The bump has broken and is now bleeding/pusing. Could it be herpes?! Does herpes normally swell up the area???? HELP!

ingrown hairs suck a lot. i get them here and there. the worst one i ever had sound similar to yours, the difference with me was i had them before and knew what to do. unless you pop it or have your doctor do it it will be painful and rather nasty. poppin it isnt the easiest thing to do, trust me i sat in tears due to its size. once you do all of this you have to be careful with your shavin, always usin a pretty new razor and not goin over the same area too many times. one think i found that helped it goin from usin a razor to jus trimmin. i still shave the sides and get the occasional start of a ingrown hair but i simply take some tweezers and pluck the hair out. no pain in that. give it a try. make sure to clean up the mess really well usin any antibodies you might have around. good luck~!

Yeah its an ingrown hair... My wife gets them from time to time.
You are shaving in the wrong direction so when the hair tries to regrow it doesnt push up through the skin it is pushing down. Causing a pimple like bump that will have puss built up. If you pop it you will see what I mean. Your best bet is to find tweezers and try to remove the hair if you look hard enough you will see it under the skin. When you remove it the pain will go away you will feel much better. But be warned when you pull it out it will be very long because it was growing under the skin...
HAVE FUN!

suited now, you could cope with them with an antibiotic cream and go away them on my own - do not %.! then you fairly've some innovations for the subsequent time to dodge ingrowns: do not do something on your hair. Trim to a short length yet do not shave thoroughly. Get waxed/sugared as quickly as your hair is long adequate. Shave using conditioner or unscented deodorant, and shave WITH the grain of the hair. so a strategies as i be attentive to, that is not stated to apply chemical hair removers on your pubic hair, yet i might desire to be incorrect.

ingrown hair for sure!
I get one each time in a specific spot and I had to open it with a little needle to get the hair out. It appeared there were 3hairs stuck there that were causing the pain and the swelling. After I removed the hairs everything was back to normal.

Oh boy...I had what you had a while back, but mine didn't burst like yours did. Instead it got bigger and hurt a lot!!! I had to go to the doctor to get it drained. Took some prescribed meds and sat in a hot tub of suds daily to clean it. It turned out to be a Perirectal Abscess. I suggest you see a doctor for it. Good Luck! =)
