just dont meet them, for the first few times tell them your busy doing something and that you cannot meet them, if they are smart enough they should get the picture after a while.
Just stopping talking to them would make you look like a jerk.
You shouldnt have been friends with people who you dont like in the first place. But as you said you were desperate, So, I don't jugde you for that.
Just don't be rude by not talking all at once. Give it some time...
Good luck!

It sounds like you are already kind of on the way to gradually end the friendship. People drift apart all the time. Just don't call them and if they try to make plans with you, just conveniently already have set plans you can't break. They'll get bored eventually. I don't blame you for not wanting to be friends with them, they sound awful!

Fin d something that interests you cars, school clubs, sports and use that as an excuse for your absence. But don't go out of your way to talk/see/interact with them, they'll loose interest soon enough. That way your not a jerk for ditching them, and you have new friends.

Just try to avoid them. You don't want to make any enemies, after all. If you run into them somewhere, make small talk for a minute and then leave for an "urgent appointment" or "something you just remembered you have to do".
By the way, you forgot these:
. . . . . . . . . .

You can either just outright tell them you are no longer interested in being friends with them, or just avoid them. Avoid their calls completely, or just be busy everytime they call or stop by. Make plans and hang out with your "real" friends more.

Just start being boring to them. Don't initiate any new meetings. Then flake a meeting or two, and fade into the sunset.

You should do nothing more than spend time with your other friends instead. There's no need to burn your bridges, sometimes we unexpectedly find ourselves recrossing bridges we never thought we would. Maybe when they've matured a little they'll be different.
