So most of the answers have been how to repair, re-texture the ceiling, But I think your asking if there is a paint that matches the ceiling, like your trying to cover up a water stain or something.

Kilz brand stain blocker is available and will cover the stain, the product was made for commercial applications originally. So they made it with coloring that matched the tiles in a suspended ceiling, and it does a pretty good job of matching a ceiling that's been there for several years. Of course it depends on lots of things: does a smoker live there, is it a kitchen ceiling, was the ceiling white to begin with. By the way you want the orig. Kilz not the new fancy low odor, water base junk. Some guys will tell you we don't have the kilz brand but we have this x brand and it's just as good --- don't you believe it.

Matter of fact they do. Hit up Lowes, Home Depot, etc... and go to the paint section. They have all sorts of texture products. Some are spray on, others are applied with a paint roller. Just when you get there, look at the exact texture you are looking for and trust me, it will work.

There is a popcorn cieling texture spray paint that you should be able to find in many home improvement places. Just remember to get one with the same texture your cieling has since there are dozens of textures available.
Good luck!

closest match I have found is from Loews .or home depot in a spray can you will have to build it up in layers ...if spot to replace is larger than 18"x18" then you have an expensive project .. consider redoing the entire ceiling, If you are a halfway good carpenter then consider renting the equipment yourself....a large drywall supply outlet will rent that or a party /equipment rental center.

It's the same "mud" used for drywall taping. It's sprayed from a special spray gun.
