When we are connected to the wired network at work we can resolve DNS fine, however when I am on my Sprint card or when my co-worker is on his Verizon card and even when I use the Wireless on the laptop at home using my linsys wireless I cannot resolve DNS to the internet. I can ping www.yahoo.com and other sites and if I enter the IP Address in it works and takes me to the site but if I type in www.yahoo.com it comes back with site not found. While wireless I can get into our VPN for work (I think because it is using an IP to connect) and then once on the VPN I can connect to the net since the net is resolving to our domain server at work.
I need to know what could cause this, it was working fine on all laptops in the company and now one by one they are stopping.
Again this is an issue when going wireless outside the company, when i an wired inside or wireless connected at work it is fine, but when I am outside work DNS is not resolving but still connecting usine IP Adresses.

It sounds like the NIC in your PC is hard-coded for the DNS server at work. Remove the hard-coded DNS settings and you should be fine. Make a note of the DNS settings first; your work should be handing that out via DHCP but if they're not (possible but strange configuration) you'll have to add them back in at work.
