From an outsider's viewpoint, the answer is simple: they're not really good friends. But of course, I'm an outsider. I know how you feel, being so uncertain about your friends. After all, they ARE your friends, and I'm sure they can be great most of the time. Everyone has their weak sides. I suggest that you try and talk to them about it (again, I understand that that's extremely hard and awkward), or try and make some more new friends. You don't necessarily have to break off your current relationships, but it might help if you can find some perfect friends.
I once had a friend like that. She would say things that I thought were kind of offensive, towards me, and she'd be totally oblivious. But I talked with her more, and we got closer, and now she's one of my best (and nicest) friends. You be the judge. I hope everything works out for you and your friends! ^__^

Well the first one is easy. Just explain to them that they need to try to think only positive about someone. have them try for 5 minutes and increase that time until they either become a better person or loose you as a friend. The second is even easier. loose them. don't even bother try. Any one who would use something against you is not a friend. the 3rd you didn't finish but I can suggest keep them 10 feet behind.

I have alot of friends and they all have something about them that gets on my ever loving nerves...The thing is though that u need to be up front when they do something u cant stand. Like my one friend acts like she has ADD (attention deficit disorder) if the conversation is not about her. So if i am talking about something i am going through sometimes she will cut me off and change the subject. I think that is so rude and it pisses me off but instead of holding it in and being pissed off i just tell her i didnt appreciate how she cut me off. She apologizes then does better at trying to listen to me...cause i always listen to her. U have to be honest with your friends even if it is something that may hurt their feelings because ultimately they can only respect you. They will know that u care and they can always get the truth from u...their true friend

If you guys are friends, you should find a way to fix that! Do a little meeting between y'all and tell each other what you think needs to change in y'all. Trust me. Been there, done that! The meeting between girl friends can change a lot of things just don't let it carry overboard!

if you love your friends very much you should tell them about there self and what you think about them and if they are your true Friends then they will respect what you have to say and they would try to change what you think needs to be changed or try to spruce there act up a little bit.
