I am working in iran for indian software company who written ERP software and selling it to the market. unfortunately the one above me has took control of the company and tap to my potentionals. but always put forward is idea regardless of my presence. the feeling i feel now is that the job i am doing doesn't seems to be fullfilling. and i can't put maximum concentration into the job that i am doing and at the bottom line it drastically decrease my preformance. what should i do? is it my problem or organizatoin problem?

Only if you let it supress you, will it. If your job makes you unhappy...start looking for another or confront the problem in your current workplace. It is your problem if you do nothing about it. Just my two cents...good luck.

I think a bad office atmosphere can suppress *anyone*'s talent. As long as you look clearly at yourself and your motives, and you are sure you are not being too touchy, then you are probably right that there is a problem.

Is there a better opportunity for you elsewhere? Unfortunately stealing credit for an employee's ideas is a very common problem. Is there an open forum, such as weekly meetings, where you can bring up your ideas first so everyone sees where they came from? Or is it possible for you to be happy if an idea is successful even if the credit is not given to you?

In the long run, things may go badly for this manager in any case, because if he is promoted away from you, they will quickly see that he doesn't have so many ideas any more.
