how can i check the history of the sites i have been on my computer

At the top of your internet browser you will see History button,click on it and the history of websites you viewed will be displayed on the left side of your explorer.Alternatively by pressing ctrl+h keys will also display the history of websites you viewed.

I don't know what kind of tool bar you have. Look for any down arrows on your tool bars and that will usually show the history.

open explorer,click on tools,internet options and delete.Now as for viewing what you've done in history,I have google toolbar,just press right side of search box and there it'll be.
