try: Skin Alison Raffaelle inner glow. You can get it at Sephora. It is very light and goes on beautifully. It's hard for the clown thing to happen with this particular one.

Yeah, the lighting is probably your culprit.
Creme blush is nice and very natural looking when applied lightly. If there is that much difference between your bathroom mirror and what the camera picked up, it may not be light enough in your bathroom, causing you to put on too much. Try to add more lights, use the natural or sunlight type of bulbs. If you really don't have a place in the bathroom to add more light (top of the mirror is best) then buy one of those beauty mirrors with lights around it. Many of those have different settings for day and night lighting so you can apply your makeup appropriately.

I've done that before; it sucks big time. I don't know what the formal thing was for, but if it was in the evening or a dance or in a dimly lighted room, then I'm sure it lookd just fine and not too bright like in the pictures. For me, powder blush works best. It differs for everyone though.Did you get ready with anyone? Cuz i bet if someone thought it looked overdone they would have told you, sometimes pictures tend to exggerate things because of lighting or certain angles.

Don't you hate that? I'm sure it was the lighting. I put my makeup on in natural light - usually in the kitchen near a row of open windows. You can always carry blusher with you and add more later in the day/evening if you need it.
P.S. I use powder blush most of the time, but when I really need the blush to last, I use both cream & poweder. I use Victoria's Secret cream blush (lightly) and then I lightly go over that with powder blush. Good luck!

I agree... don't give up on blush... I have been using the mousse blush by mabalienne and the same thing happened to me... looks awesome at home... yet like a clown out in public! I personally perfer powder blush but if you like the mouse then stick with it.... try applying your makeup in a different room... I have found the kitchen to be a bright room and often do mine in thier.... I just grap a mirror prop it up again the wall and sit ont he floor and do my makeup... not the most elegant.LOL but at least I get a true feel for my makeup! Goodluck :)

I wouldn't stop using blush, just make sure next time you apply any kind of makeup, you do it in a very well lit place.
Chances are your bathroom is too dark.
Mine is like that too. I make sure I blend everything really well and dab off a little before I leave my house.

Either start using a powder blush or....after you apply your creme blush then pat some powder over top of it to tone it down. That's what I do.
Don't just stop using it. I think it's a necessity.

cameras suck, not only do they make your makeup look funky, they add ten pounds. try applying your makeup in natural light. if its dark out, get one of those vanity mirros that you can adjust the lighting on so you can apply your makup accurately. i think conair makes one. i had one years ago, but im to lazy to put on make up these days.
