My garage is filled with shoes, they are all in the way and worn once in a while...how can I neatly organize these shoes while still having some access to them? I would need a pretty big shoe rack....

Thanks!

I should mention that I have 4 other family members. Not all of these shoes belong to me...

Really now, why do you need so many shoes? Do you actually wear all those shoes? If you haven't worn them in a year you don't need them anymore. Pass them on to someone else who needs or would love them. I can get by in my life with just 8-10 pairs and I still think that's too many. I mean I have a pair of tennis shoes, a pair of brown casual shoes, a pair of casual sandals, a pair of dress sandals, a black pair and a brown pair of dress heels, a pair of brown boots, a pair of cowboy boots, a pair of gardening shoes, and a pair of slippers. I don't need anything more, including a place to store all those shoes. What are you really covering up with all these shoes?

I watched a show once a long time ago about Tori Spelling's closet and she had more shoes than anyone I have ever seen before (also more money...daddy's). Anyway, she had each pair of shoes in clear plastic boxes which she stacked. That way she could see each pair. This could get expensive, so another thought is to have shoeboxes for each pair and tape a polaroid photo of each shoe to the front of the box. Then stack the boxes on shelves along the walls.

initially, in case you have a pair of trainers which you haven't any longer worn in a year, provide them away at a garments drop-off container. There are an awful lot around, and you will no longer experience as undesirable because of the fact somebody else is getting your plenty-mandatory shoes! Then get a rack that holds shoes in rows on cabinets so which you will locate them truthfully. each and every time you place on a pair of trainers pass it to the some distance left so which you will locate which of them you place on the main (those on the left) and which of them you do no longer want (those on the best).

Buy the 24 pair shoe racks depending on how many pairs you have... or buy a carton (cardboard box) and put them in neatly... another way is to put them on a stand/shelve with layers in it...

I'd suggest the shoe racks... the plastic ones... they cost around $3-5 dollars so they aren't very expensive... and you could as many as you like...

Fortunately, there are some very nice hanging shoe racks that can hold lots of shoes. Or you could just plain build shelves or cubby holes to hold them.

In all seriousness, you probably need to look your shoes over and decide which ones are worth keeping: I can't imagine having a whole garage full of shoes. Let alone actually needing them.

Well, Imelda, I would sort them by season and rotate them accordingly, for starters. Buy two 25-section shoe cubbys at the hardware store - put one in your bedroom, the other in the garage. Add a third one in the garage if you need it.

Or, consider donating a few pairs that you don't need to Goodwill or somewhere.

u can put each pair of shoes in a shoe box & have a picture of the shoes on its box, & then stack them up nicely. that way u can see & pick what to put on & they are clean. (i didnt know someone already gave a similar answer, but i think this is a good idea)

wow, sounds like you have way to many, those hanging shoe organizers like 20 and put them in a closet and make it your shoe closet. I would look through and get rid of the outdated ones

separate them by season then how often you would wear them. Put them in bin or boxes that can be aired out so not to get musty. Rotate them for the season so you are able to access when needed. Good Luck

Get a big green plastic bag. Put the shoes you wear the least into the bag. Set the bag by the curb.
