Once they have determined that you had a miscarriage, do they clean the rest out that day, or do you have to make another appointment.

I ended up having to have an ultrasound to see if things cleared out and when they hadn't I was scheduled for the D & C. I had to wait 2 days, which was distressing. Then I had a bad experience with the D&C so it was all bad & traumatic.

it really just depends. they act as fast as possible. i had one last year and i had a doc apointment and they couldnt find a heart beat. so they sent me over to the hospital and they had a larger ultrasound machine. and they still couldnt find a heart beat. so they sent me back over to my doctors and we scheduled a d&c mine had to be the next day because it was too late in the day and the surgens were only there in the morning. and also i wasnt bleeding so it really was harmless to do it the day after they said. i didnt have any problems afterwards so i guess they were right...good luck....

They will first determine if you even need a D and C. You may not need one at all.

I have heard that the doc will give up to two weeks to expell the fetus and after that do a d & c...if you are not that far along

it depends on how far along you were. i M/C'ed at 6 weeks and wasnt required a cleaning. they do however, run a bunch of blood tests to ensure she's ok.

they should send you over to the hospital for a d & c right away. I had one a few years ago and thats what my doctor did.
