Bostonian has a good idea, I might add depending on the dent size you might try a plumbers helper, you know one of those plungers. Stick it over the dent give it a spray, the suction just might work,
I mention this just in case the dent isn't accessible from the back side.

Bondo works but takes a bit of effort to look good. Normal tin-knocking techniques don't work very well on aluminum since it stretches so easily.
Here's one that might work though. Get a can of "canned air" for blowing out dust from computers and electronic equipment. Use gloves and a face shield to protect your skin and eyes. Turn the can upside-down and spray the center of the dent. The "air" is actually a liquid under pressure that freezes at room temperature. This will cause the aluminum to shrink and may pop it back into its original shape. Apply a bit of the "air" and tap the dent lightly from the back. Repeat until it's back in shape.

You can use auto body filler and fix it just like body work on a car. Pretty easy, but will need to be primed and painted after.
