its been about 3 weeks since i was released from the hospital, feel fine.

The spleen has nothing to do with metabolism of alcohol...that's the job of the liver. The main risk of splenic injuries is bleeding. Alcohol doesn't really affect the coagulation ability of blood, so you should be fine to go ahead and start drinking again. An exception to this is if you're a chronic alcoholic with liver cirrhosis in which case some of the factors used to clot blood are not produced by the liver and this will put you at higher risk for bleeding. If you've got cirrhosis, you should probably not start drinking again.
