I received 3 dress shirts as gifts this year for Christmas.

As is the case with most of my dress shirts, 2 of my new ones come out of the dryer and look like they are ready to be worn as long as I get them hung up in a normal time frame.

The other new shirt....we'll call it "jackface" came out of the dryer looking like it was wedged between a fat taxi cab driver and his seat for a couple of weeks. I washed it again and took jackface out of the dryer and......again it was super wrinkly and looked like crap.

Is there any reason why some shirts just suck nutz? Is it the material that the shirt is made out of?

Yes, it's the material. Really what you should do is dry clean them or send them to the cleaners to be laundered and pressed. They will look perfect that way. Also, it really pays to spend more on dress shirts-- they hold up better. Many companies make wrinkle and stain free shirts now... such as: Liz Claiborne, Anne Klein, & Charter Club (a Macy's brand)

if you want shirts that don't get much wrinkles, make sure they are a blend with some polyester or stretch to them.

Though most shirts will have some sort of wrinkles, the blends with polyester or stretch have far less than those that are 100% cotton.

I think the ones that have some polyester in them and are permanent press come out better that the ones that are 100% cotton.

Ugh, I hate wrinkles, I hate to iron! Some shirts are just made with wrinkles. I love those wrinkle free's!
