Nope, the female anatomy will not allow it to go further than it can. Don't worry, you can't push it past your cervix.

There is such a thing as pushing it too far. This has happened to me when I experemented with it a few years ago. I cut off the string when it was still in the tube. When I inserted the tampon and took out the tub I could not see the string. I was very happy when I stuck a finger in my vagina a found I could not feel anything. I assumed that I would be able to feel something once the tampon was ready to come out (maybe it will be lower).
Well, that time came when I had to take the tampon out and I could not feel for it and I panicked. I took tweezers and washed it with hot water and soap then stuck it in my vagina hoping to coax the tampon out. That didn't work, so I stuck my fingers in there again trying to streach the muscles and bare down as much as I could. I was in so much pain for about ten minutes until I finally felt the tampon. It was still high up there but I got the tweezers and tried grabbing the tampon. It worked!
Sorry for the long story. But the moral is, don't cut off the string of the tampon. But you can stuff the string in so it won't stick out. That's what I've been doing since then.

Nope - I mean, if it feels uncomfortable you might have put it in farther than YOU wanted to, but a tampon can't go beyond where it is supposed to - there's a wall blocking it. Just like if you have sex while you are pregnant, the penis can never hit the baby. Same sort of idea - nothing can go into that region without it being opened up at the doctor.

There is a chance that you can insert it too far, but trust me when you do that, you will know because it's really uncomforable. It's like something bumping up against your cervix and it does not feel good at all!!!! Just adjust it until it feels right.

No unless you put it through your cervix. Your vagina does have an end no you can't put it in to far.

Yes. If it hurts and is terribly uncomfortable you are at risk of damaging something that far!
