Animals may play and run around but there appears to be no gays and lesbians in animal as such. But why are gays and lesbians only in humans?

No, animals are not gays like you define gays in humans, NO!!! young animals or lonely male chase around when eract but if a female is there there is no mistake and they dont fall in love males and marry, even doves or other birds dont go and mate male to male.... its just child like play just as kids do playing parents or adults or playing with their organs that is not gay that is ignorent play/ child like play which when the female comes they are able to recognise and mate properly... Gays are purely people who only have same sex affairs..... there is no male animal which will not mate with a female given a chance and saying "I am gay, sis!" human are like that, that is the kind of gay we are talking about

KA1227:
we are worried about gays because they advocate for an institution that will drastically change the main foundational of our lives - namely:
1. Nature - reproduction for Millions of years and sex was naturally planned to be between opposite sexes
2. Religion (acceptance of gays in religion and change of the bible or other religious books)
3. Science - because they will struggle and prove that any man can claim to be a gay, because all people have the same hormones, only differing proportions.

Your knowlegde about homosexuality is appealing
1. Homosexual animal - having a sexual attraction to an animal of the same sex only
2. Bisexual animals- An animal that is sexually attracted to both sexes
3. A heterosexual animal - having a sexual orientation to an animal of the opposite sex
Hence animals are not homosexual, No!!!

they have to have babies to keep there species going, so why would they be gay? they would be kicked out of there group if there was a chimp that couldnt keep there group going. So they really have no choice. Im not really saying there are or arnt any gay animals. Im just saying they just cant afford not to have babies. Plus why do you care so much about it?

Well I ran a search on homosexual animal behavior and found a mixed bag of results. There are scientific reports that conclude animals DO engage in homosexual behavior, and there are position papers that insist the so-called homosexual behavior is being mis-interpreted.

So there appears to be a lot of info on both sides of the debate.

Maybe a good question is why does the existence of gay people bother so many people who would never be in relationship with them?

Edit: I see your point about the impact of gay people on religion. There are some churches taking an acceptance position, to the chagrin of some of their members. I don't see how observations of gay animal behavior affect that, though.

But nature is nature... social influences don't affect what happens in the animal kingdom, only how it is reported. The same is true of science. You cannot change the laws of physics, but mainstream politics can affect how it is reported.

I am in a traditional marriage raising 3 children, and I do NOT feel threatened by the existence of gay couples or their desire to have civil unions or be married. In fact, I find their desire to make a public commitment to one another much preferable to the promiscuous stereotype.

Scientists, people obviously smarter than you, have recognized more than 450 different species that appear gay. You will never know if they really are gay unless you ask them, a little bit of a problem. And if you are worried about gays taking over the world some how, they have been around since multi-celled organisms have existed and they haven't taken over yet. An interesting point - gay people don't reproduce so all of the gay people come from the straight people. Why do you turn all of those people gay.

Animals exhibit homosexual, asexual and bisexual behavior. As a kid, my brother and I used to crack up watching the male monkeys relieve one anothers sexual tension at the Bronx zoo. We also had a home in the country. The female cows were forever humping one another in the pastures. My two male dogs also go at it. Boy, are you mistaken. I think you are freaked over sex in general. Somebody must have told you that sex is "icky".

You are completely incorrect there have been hundreds of documented cases of homosexuality in animals in zoos around the world.

Seriously you could have found this out by a simple search on the Internet. It is AMAZING what you could actually learn if you just make an effort!

Also you might READ Jane Goodall's book and find it interesting how prevalent bisexuality is among male chimpanzees.

Yes, there is such a thing as homosexual chimpanzees.

I understand this would be a disappointment to you as it will only cut down on the number of sexual partners you are seeking.

Actually homosexual behaviour has been observed in over 1500 different species including birds and mammals, and has been well documented in atleast 500 of these species.

Homosexuality exists throughout the animal kingdom aswell as in humans.

Your're wrong . there are many cases of homosexuality in the animal world.
Nature uses homosexuality to control population in areas where she determins that certain species are ove rpopulated.
The recent ice melting in the anartic have reduced the pengiums nesting grounds and made their journey from their nesting grounds to the sea to hunt for food so long that many are now starving. Thus nature introduced homosexuality into them as populatuion control. see below.(there are or hav ebeen many case sof homosexually among animals in similar situations.
It's possible that in as much as homosexuality is not having the effect nature intended that nature may take a more drastric approach to eliminatin certain humans it deems unsuitable for mating as it dos homosexuals.

I'm not sure where you got your info from, but animals are gay. I have seen plenty of animals go the other way just because they wanted to get their rocks off and they didn't care how or who from

Excellent question! original! I think that animals cannot be gay. they are God's creation and they are here to reproduce. Besides, they do not have the influences that human have to change their minds. Furthermore, animals cannot reason, they act by instincts.

actually, you're completely wrong on that.

there has been observed homosexual behaviour in chimps, apes, dolphins, dogs, penguins, horses, and many other species.

theres even a well documented case of two male penguins at the NY zoo who behaved like a bonded "married" couple, and the keepers eventually gave them an egg to hatch.
