If so what is the procedure like?

To add to what others have said... they're trying to make it work for humans, but they are having trouble getting the chromosomes from an egg cell to fit into a sperm cell in humans. Basically, the way that they're trying to do it is to take the DNA out of one egg cell and put it into an "empty" sperm cell, then use it to impregnante the second egg cell. But for some reason its not working as well in humans as it did in animals....

Probably, and not a silly question at all. When I was in high school I thought about wanting to have a baby girl with my best friend (we're talking two guys here, one of whom was straight--now THAT would be a complicated procedure!). It was a stupid idea at the time, but now it's theoretically possible. At least I can understand why you would want to do this. Good luck.

it is scientifically possible. there have been tests involving animal eggs where they were able to take two eggs and bind them together to make an embryo. its never been done with a human, and would be incredibly expensive to try.

they actually DO have the right number of chromasomes to make this work. the child would have to be female, because neither parent would have the Y chromasome needed for a male child.

I heard they managed it in a lab somewhere. it's not a procedure available to people (yet) though. Obviously, it could only work to produce more girls (No Y chromosome), but all the other chromosomes match up anyway.

At the moment, no. It requires both sperm and an egg, unfortunately, although they're doing lots of research and work with cloning aspects (but NOT cloning) to see if it could be done. Sorry.

In theory, it is possible and the result would always be a girl.

In practice it has never been attempted (or reported as such).

No. And if it was possible I wouldn't do it. I do plan on marrying someone eventually and I think we would just adopt a child. I think the world needs more adoption and less procreation. Just my opinion.

The Closest thing to having your two exact genes together in a child, is getting her dad to shag you.

THAT would be akward.

other wise, its a physical improbability.
