The brain thinks faster than the computer. Think about how if I were to ask you whats 2+2, you would automatically say 4 because its stored in your memory, like the back of your hand. It would take a little longer for you to type it into the calculator and get an answer.

The human brain cannot perform all of the task that a computer can. However, in processing information the brain is faster, even if it reaches this limit. It is not about "ability to complete a task" it is about " which processes faster' Hence, the computer may be able to complete certain task we cannot, but it don't mean it was processed as fast as our brain processes. Also, because we cannot process some task a computer can does not mean we processed slower than the computer- we just reached our limit of design.
Also, our brain is designed much better than any computer in the foreseeable future. Look at the room it requires for a computer, all of the external devices to attach to it to do all of the things our brain does. Yet, our brain is designed in such a way the complete package is housed in a space the size of our hand ( a tad larger maybe).

The guy above is right; computers are faster but the brain is more complex and uses parallel processing. I just wanted to add that the best computer in the world today doesn't have the processing power of the brain of an earthworm (Source, Stpehen Hawking).

Computer. Your computer's CPU works at gigahertz speeds, and accesses memory at hundreds of megahertz.
Your brain works at kilohertz speeds -- your computer is working thousands of times as fast.
The brain is superior in many ways only due to massive parallel processing.

Depends on what you ask it to do.
Computers are able to perfrom calcualtions and comparisons faster than the human brain, but the human brain is faster at other functions.
