It's far more common than most people imagine - western tastes in particular are generally for "hairless" females and so many women remove or disguise what they perceive to be excess body hair. If your friend has had this degree of hairiness since puberty then it's unlikely to be the result of any abnormal growth or hormone imbalance; if it's developed relatively quickly and she was previously much less hairy then she should get it checked out - there are a whole range of possible causes (not all of them are scary!).

Incidentally, some men really like hairy women... it's not all bad news!

If you have "peach fuzz" in these areas, no problem. If you've got real hair growing in these areas, you most likely have a hormone imbalance which could be a multitude of different things. Actually, peach fuzz around the nipples or naval area can be quite sexy to some men but if you're bordering on Borat style locks.. different story.

I think it depends what kind of hair growth it is. "baby hair" as you mention sounds like it is very fine hair and not really noticeable which i dont think would be anything to worry about and sounds pretty normal. People have hair all over their body really just some people have more noticeable coverage than others. Still if your friend is worried she could always check with her gp!

ALL women have hair ALL over. But most of it is really light baby-hair-like. Back, belly, chest all over. If a woman says she doesn't its probably because she shaved it or its very light and not really thick at all so its hard to see. But yes its very common so she need not worry.

One can make the body and facial hair less noticeable by bleaching.
Detailed information about the effectiveness of bleaching is available at http://www.hairremoval.in/hairbleach.html

baby fine hair is normal, like if it is reall y fine and you can barely see it, the hair growth from ply cystic ovarian syndrome is coarse like a mans and usually grows on the chin, sideburns and stomach, it is usually black or dark, plus usualy people who have pcos have irregular periods and are overweight, why don't you ask your doctot to put your mind at ease, if it is pcos usually losing weight will help
