Most in our group are ladies and gay guys like me. One or two are straight. I want our group to be balanced. I think some male presence will even out the vibe.

I've had several 'straight close buddies' for years, now. There is a line that neither you or your straight friends will have to cross.

Being gay is just one 'part' of who you are, it only means one thing, your sexual orientation, everything else is in common with any other human beings.

It might be healthy for you to think about this, and to explore these parts of your personality.

Most my friends are straight. I do not let them talk that talk if they are not comfortable listening to my talk. Short and sweet if they can talk about wanting to shag a woman and I can't talk about wanting to shag other guys then they don't get to tell me. You draw a line and you tell them not to cross it. You take the charge. Don't be the weak link. As far as straight guys thinking all gay guys like them in my mind is ego centric and has no merit.

All youc an do is tell them that you have no interest in them in the romantic sense. It will be up to them and their own security/comfort level as to whether they believe you. More than likely, if you have a straight man who is willing to or is comfortable with being friends with a gay man, it won't be an issue. Usually the ones that have the closed-minded, "every gay man is gonna hit on me" mentality are the ones that won't associate with you in the first place

Just be yourself. If they think you wanna shag them, that's their problem. I run into that being poly. Everyone assumes because I'm polyamorous I wanna get them or their wife into bed. OK, sometimes I do, but that's pretty rare and I'm always pretty cool about subtle flirting....

It sounds like you're on the right track already. Just keep being yourself. Those that think you're out to "tag" them are too self centered and don't deserve the friendship of you or your group anyway.
