Very very briefly, to any woman with kids, what would you do if you had a male cousin so obsessed with your kids that he fought and ultimately got rid of any new man in your life who might be a potential threat. No matter what, he won't go away. Bearing in mind this man is 47 and still a virgin. Just can't work him out at all.
Is he lonely or is he a perv? How the hell can you tell?

He sounds like a pedophile to me. No one should be that obsessed with kids. He sounds like he's lonely and a pervert. I would have a talk with your kids to see if there is any inappropriate behavior going on when they're with him. I would still keep the kids away from him or have supervised visitation.
Why in the world is he 47 and still a virgin? Its nothing wrong with being a virgin but he's damn near 50. He just needs to get some is all.

I want to know why you are putting up with this abuse. YOU are the problem, and it is affecting your kids. It's not a matter of "working him out" , it's a matter of throwing him out. He's a lonely perv and a control freak. Get some help for yourself and your kids.

But then again, it's possible that you have bad taste in men and he's being genuinely protective.
Hard to say without knowing you both.
Take him out for lunch and a couple of beers and talk to him about it would be my advice.

not to be talking about your family, but this guy sounds really creepy and also like a perv. being family don't mean nothing! my cousin was on my couch laid out naked, as if to imply something, i kicked his *** out and suggest you do the same
