i've been sick constantly from week 6, i've tryed 5 different types of anti-sickness drugs but nothing touched it, luckly now at 11 weeks it's easing off, i found that dr pepper and sprite helped a little bit, what helped your morning sickness?

I used to have a glass of peppermint cordial or ginger beer and two rich tea biscuits before I got out of bed every morning! I still use peppermint or ginger for upset stomachs and find they work better than OTC remedies.
Congratulations !

I was the same way. Couldn't even eat and I was so worried. My Dr. was on holidays for christmas so I couldn't get a prescription but I did find that mints, mint gum, and things like that helped a bit, but I still couldn't eat. So I was snooping around and caught wind of Seabands helping with pregnancy sickness. I bought a pair and they are working wonders for me. I can't eat anything without them but if I put them on just 20min before, I can eat almost anything. I can't stand melted cheese for some reason... even with the bracelets. Anyways, they have lil knobs on them that poke into a pressure point on each of your wrists. Leave em on while you are eating and take em off a lil while after your done. Only other thing that has actually worked for me and it is doing wonders. I only paid $15 for the pair. I'm in Canada so that will be different in other countries, but thats all I paid and it was well worth it. You should give it a try if nothing else works. :) Good luck and congrats. I'm almost 11 weeks. Wonderful feeling. :)

oh man at first abso;utely nothing helped but then i noticed if i tried to keep a full belly like eat when i am supposed to i felt a whole lot better. crackers and gingerale seemed to help a little bit but as far as i can remember nothing actually really got rid of it. I only got sick twice during this pregnancy but i was dry heaving all over the place which i found to be way worse because there was never any relief. I do know from experience that your sense of smell is a lot stronger and one of the times i actually got sick was when taking out the trash i puked all over the front lawn. luckily it was like 6.00am so hopefully noone saw. so try to stay away from unpleasent smells that may trigger it even more. also try to get alot of rest. they say this helps reduce it. i never got rest so i dont know. but good luck. mine started to go away finally at about 15 weeks pregnant and i was good for a while but then came the other wonderful aspects of pregnancy. hang in there though its just a sign that your baby is thriving. the rising level of hormones so quickly in your body is what is causing the morning sickness and the levels rising is a good sign that your baby is growing too.oh yeah i also sucked on butterscotch. weird i know but it helped a little

I kept a box of saltine crackers by my bed. I would set my alarm 20 minutes before I had to get up and eat 15 or so saltines and wash them down with Sprite or Ginger Ale (only Vernors brand worked for me). When it was actually time to get up, I found that I didn't feel sick anymore.
I kept my saltines with me all day and would eat a few every couple of hours. As long as I didn't feel hungry, I would feel fine.
To make you feel better about being sick - I've been told that feeling sick is the sign of a healthy pregnancy.
Best of luck to you!

My wife said that nothing helped... Though some smells would bring it on big time... So we stopped causing those smells...
She was told ginger was a good thing... In whatever form, but she didn't find it any help and was sick for about 6 months...

I used to have plain digestive biscuits. Found that these did help.
I heard an old wives tale that went - if you suffer from bad morning sickness you're expecting a girl and if you don't have any or it isn't so bad then you're expecting a boy. Like I said it's only an old wives tale though so I don't know if there's any truth in it.

In same boat but I am at 20 weeks. My tip is not to brush your teeth without having had any breakfast, if someone says 'does this smell funny to you' and puts a questionable food item straight under your nose - dont breathe in, and dont empty the kitchen bin in the morning! It is like pushing a vomit button!! Seriously, eating little but often works best for me, get rest, dont rush about and drink lots of water. Good luck with it all xx

You only have a couple more weeks of feeling bad. It usually goes away by 12 -14 weeks. I sucked on a lot of peppermints, avoided smelling any food, drank ginger ale, and laid around a lot. Good luck.

Keep some ginger biscuits next by your bedside and when you wake in the morning eat some before you get out of bed or move your belly.

The only thing that helped me was reaching 14 weeks, when it suddenly went away!
Not long for you now and lots of women report it stopping at 12 weeks.
